Classroom Blogs

In New Albany, New York, the blog site is intended for the Silver Street Elementary community to help parents and the community of New Albany to stay connected with the school. They allow the citizens to express their thoughts about the potential closure of the elementary school, but it also allows the parents to see when their are board/parent meetings.

Mrs. White's 2nd grade class, from Bloomfield, Missouri, has her blog set up for parents and her students to see what they are learning in class from day to day. She includes Spelling(with weeks spelling words) reading, math, science, report cards, and a AR subject that tells the levels and goals for the week. It is a great way for parents to see what their children are learning, and if they need to help them with a particular subject, they can be aware of what the curriculum is that they are learning.
